Railway locomotive shunting operation safety prevention and control system

When locomotive is going into or out of the station, traffic accidents or major accidents happens occasionally because of the driver’s oversight or the wrong messages.

    In order to solve the problems above; lead the drivers to drive safely and reach the goal of safe operation, this system adopts the technologies of intelligent video analysis and image identification. It can get the messages of signal lights and running paths by the videos in front of the train which are shot during its running; then the messages of path ahead and signal lights conditions can be gathered. The safety information can be judged according to the distance of signal lights and train’s speed and then it’ll give voice alarm.


    When the driver is advancing in rush, a voice will be given to warn the driver and the driver will judge and decide to control the train or not. If the driver does not push the bottom, the warning voice will ring all the time. If the system identifies the brake distance is not enough according to the speed and the driver has not push the bottom, the system will automatically make air exhausting to control the train and make emergency brake and make emergency alarm to warn the driver at the same time to reduce the accidents.

 

1. Left/right side low column red/blue lights identification
   The related camera will be activated according to the running of the train; automatically detect the signal lights and judge it’s red/blue or be oversight.

2. Single line control train function
    When the train is shunting such as locomotive going to the station and single line train changing path, the system will make voice alarm when it judges the distance is not enough according to the speed and then make automatic air exhausting when the driver does not push the bottom.

   Operational interface display includes rails detection display,  locating of signal lights or suspected subject, operational condition display; there are voice alarming function for all important things to warn the user.

7. Data recording function
   It has the function of recording the condition of the road ahead, air exhausting and problem solving.

8. Automatic judgment when the locomotive is changing its direction
  When the locomotive is changing its direction during its running, the system has the function of changing its monitoring direction and keeps its monitoring direction in line with the direction of the locomotive all the time.

9. Power protection function
 The system has the function of protecting the power and maintains the stable operation of the locomotive.

 

This system is suitable for specifically adjustment locomotive and leading locomotive. It has already installed and used in Taiyuan Railway Bureau, Shenyang Railway Bureau and Guangzhou Railway Bureau.
